System solutions

Below are some system solutions showing how a MAFA pellet fuel plant can be adapted to the existing environment. Despite choosing a transport auger system or a vacuum system, you get a a flexible and reliable and easy maintained system. The choice of system depends of the burner. In general around silo is preferred if there is space enough.

The system solutions below shall be seen as a planning guide.

SystemASystem A, 50 – 100 kW

Suitable silo for a 50 – 100 kW plant is a UNS 12 (12 m3).  Here with a 7 m Maflex auger from a 37° hopper.

The silo is placed on a concrete bed outside the burner room and the Maflex auger transports the pellet fuel to the burner.

The silo can be delivered with covered cone and/or painted.

SystemBSystem B, 100 – 300 kW

Suitable silo for a 100 – 300 kW plant is a UN 27 (27 m3). Here with a 7 m Maflex auger from a 37° hopper.

The silo is placed on a concrete bed outside the burner room and the Maflex auger transports the pellet fuel to the burner.

The silo can be delivered with covered cone and/or painted.

SystemCSystem C, 1 – 1,5 mW

Suitable silo for a 1 – 1,5 mW plant is a XB 189 (189 m3). Here with a 4 m long  4″ auger from a 15-45° hopper.

The silo is placed on a concrete bed outside the burner room.

SystemDSystem D, 500 – 750 kW

Suitable silo for a 500 – 750 kW plant is a BIB 85 (85 m3). Here with a 4 m long 4″ auger from a 15-45° hopper.

The silo is placed on a concrete bed outside the burner room.

The silo can be delivered with covered cone and/or painted.

SystemESystem E, 100 – 300 kW

In some cases a square silo is more suitable.

Suitable silo for a 100 – 300 kW plant is a MAFA outdoor modular silo (28 m3). Here with a 7 m Maflex auger from a 37° hopper.

The silo can be delivered with covered cone and/or painted.

SystemFSystem F, 300 – 500 kW

Suitable silo for a 300 – 500 kW plant is a BIB 40 (40 m3). Here with a 5 m Maflex auger from a horizontal hopper.

Suitable combination when the burner room is located in the cellar.

The silo is placed on a concrete bed outside the burner room and the Maflex auger transports the pellet fuel to the burner.

The silo can be delivered with covered cone and/or painted.

Micro/Mini/Midi as intermediate bin:

MAFA Micro, Mini and Midi can be used as an intermediate bin in bigger plants. A cover and level sensor is easily fitted when used for automatic filled from a bigger bulk silo.

Example where a MAFA Mini is used as an intermediate bin with a flexible auger feeding the burner. Example where a MAFA Mini is used as an intermediate bin. Here with extended supporting legs and a Y-tube with two flexible augers. Intermediate bin feeding two flexible augers.
